Awesome thanks. I'll definitely check all that now.
Edit: ignition fuse is good. Where are the fusable links you mentioned?

i need to ask a question and i appoligize now if it sounds like im comming off as a dick, but, why did you paint the yellow stuff under the hood the way you did? Your spending all this time on the body to get it to look perfect and you have all this yellow overspray in the bay...IMO, i takes away from the nice work that you have done on the body.....If it were me, id spray all the stuff black along with the firewall and core support. Make the motor the focal point and not have anything else (color wise) stand out in the bay..

Nice work. And it turns out, it's all hard wired, the fusable links have all been removed.
Edit: it's back running again!!!! Something inside the fuse box is ruined, so it's wires up to a starter button, car has to be on, then use the spring loaded button instead of the start position. Either way, good to go! Gonna get a new fuse box later on, important thing is it runs.

thx for the advice blackbird 77,i accept all cticizm, when i painted those yellow it was just temporary, back then the car was gonna be painted orange, but i only sprayed the yellow as a temporary fix.i have all new tubular control arms sway bar center link, even have a new steering box im gonna instll, and there all gonna be painted black, also have new shocks, springs, poly bushings, ball joints entire front suspension and steering,im also planning to paint my subframe por-15 black before i assemble the front clip.and the front radiator core will be painted body color, cobalt blue metallic,i havent even began the work on the front yet,but my steering and all the suspension stuff will be installed professionaly,my freind is gonna do it in his shop for free, when im ready.i build his race engines for him and he does work for me in return,he just said pu it alltogether and drive it there and he will install the parts.

thats awome hot rod im glad u got it starting again, being hard wired is probably what burnt it up,putting new fuse block in is a big job,,do me a favor though put an inline fuse in between the switch and the starter so it dont catch on fire,u can ot it anywhere in line.

Ok, thanks for the advice. Definitely gonna fuse it now. I asked my uncle, he has the same rig, and his isn't fused so figured it'd be ok. Guess not though thanks.

yeah it would probably be ok but the inline fuse will be an insurance, incase u ever had a short some where its cheeap insurance, put it somewhere inline u can easily access it,i run mine on the firewall, just get a 70 amp maxi fuse and be done with it and never have to worry again,u can keep it wired like that for good.u can buy the maxi fuse including fuse for 10 dollars at ant autozone or orielys.napa anywhere like that.

Ok thanks for the tip. I live literally next door to oreilly's lol. Actually there's a small plaza between my apartment and oreilly's but still... I probably won't keep it wired like that for good, but probably a while. Just because I'd rather use the start position on the key cylinder than a switch. Kinda ghetto, and want it to be a real nice car when I'm done.

Any suggestions on how to step down voltage? I need to make my floor lighting put out only 3V. I'm hooking up blue LEDs and it takes 3V. I burnt up one with the factory voltage lol. $3 mistake I don't intend to make again.
