Thank you both.

I didn't even think about trying to clean off the centers, that's something I noticed too. At that point the car has been down for a week and a half, taking up the only garage spot, and we were supposed to get severe weather, so I was just trying get everything back together so my dad could get his vette back inside before it was supposed to hail.

I plan on replacing the hard lines and installing the stainless steel traction control lines. So, the centers will be an idea for when that happens

Yeah, I painted mine when I did my brakes a couple weeks ago. Makes a huge difference in looks
The center caps will cover that part, but it's nice to know looks good

Plus, if you get all of the rust off, fresh paint should prevent more rust.

Well, I was going to order some UMI sway bars this week, but I wouldn't be able to install them anytime soon, so I'm going to wait to see if they have a Labor Day sale. If not, I'll probably order them anyway, and hopefully have some money saved up to order a rear suspension package from them around Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

Today, I installed the 6LE grille insert I got for Christmas.

I also have a set of BLS headlights, with the black housing and 6000k HID projectors. Those were pretty pricey, so I'm waiting until I have an extra buck to get the Xpel headlight film to protect them from scratches and from becoming weathered. It's days of being a daily driver are winding down, but I still want the protection.

I think the headlights will complement the grille insert nicely

Finally got my BLS headlights with 5500k HIDs in them. I personally love the way they look, and is probably the favorite thing I've done to it so far. Pretty expensive, but I definitely think they were worth it.

I think they're set a little high, though. I'll probably mess with them after work tomorrow.

Hoping to get the truck fixed this weekend. After that, the plans for the car are:

New tie rods
UMI sway bars (ordering this weekend)
New badges
UMI rear suspension kit (panhard and LCAs)
Maybe subframe connectors

After that: I'll be saving for long tubes and true duals from TSP, 243 heads, LS6 intake, and Speed Inc. SI5 cam. I'd like to get the heads and intake ported and polished.

I'm hoping to have most of the top list done this year, and the bottom list finished by the end of next year, but we'll see.

The upgrade is 👍👍, but it also helps that you obviously take good care of the exterior of the car. 😎

Thank you! Nothing compared to how yours is looking, haha. To be honest, I don't do anything to the exterior other than run it through a care wash every now and then. Normally it sits in the street when the van is in the side shot. It just finished raining before the picture, so maybe that, and the way the light and angle was make it look better than it is. The paint isn't that bad, just dirty.

Got my new UMI sway bars today! 35mm up front, 22mm in the rear. They won't be put on for a little while, the car is continuing its daily driver duties until I get my truck fixed, plus I need to finish cleaning out my garage so I can get my car in there with out making made dad pull his car out. Hopefully I can get them on soon.

Really haven't done anything to it lately, but I plan on getting some more parts for it for the winter. I did take a few pictures of the car with my truck today.

Not a whole lot to update on, but I ended up draining my diff and checking the gears because I thought I heard some noise back there. Everything seemed fine, so I filled it up with the GM Posi fluid, and Amsoil Severe Gear fluid

While the rear end was jacked up, I decided to go ahead and start installing my UMI suspension kit, which included rear control arms and an adjustable panhard bar with rotojoints. I got the panhard bar off when I realized that the kit didn't come with new hardware, so I'm waiting for new nuts and bolts I ordered from work to come in before I finish everything

Of course, I'll date when I get everything on, hopefully this week.

I was also pretty darn close to ordering 1 3/4 inch long tube headers from Texas Speed, but I knew that the clicker on my craftsman torque wrench was going out when I did the intake manifold on my truck, and I realized how little I trusted it when I was torquing down the diff cover. So, I used my header money and spoiled myself with a Snap-On 3/8 Tech Angle. I wanted something that should last me a while, that I could trust, and do torque-to-yield with for when I start doing engine work on the car.

And that's all I have at the moment. I'll keep y'all updated when more gets done.

Finally got most of the hardware I need to finish up the rear suspension. The only things that I don't have New are the washers for the rear control arms, I'm hoping I can hit the old ones with a wire brush to clean them up a bit and reuse them.

I installed my panhard bar today, and I'm hoping to start the control arms on Thursday before work and finish them up after work or on Friday.
