18's

Anyone got 18" wheels on there Z28. Ive been looking to replace my stock rims. I found these corvette magnisium rims they are Staggered 18x9.5 Rear 17 x 8.5 Front. I like the look I'm just concerned the 18's in the rear will look too big. If you have 18's can put up a pic

Those are pretty hard to find rims. Sought after because they are light weight. Good find.

I have C5 wagon wheels 18s rear 17s front I think it looks good the only down side is the inability to rotate the tires.

Yeah make sure you get those done at a good tire shop. You don't want to have notches in those magnesiums. They're not exactly an easy repair job lol!

I'm going to look at them this morning. I'm going to try to talk the guy down on his price. Thanks for the responses.
Are the wheels easily damaged (notches) ? Any advise on what I should look for when looking at them?

I have another question. What size tires should I get ? I don't want to them to be too low profile but not too tall either.

94 T/A what size tires do you have ?

I'm sorry to keep throwing questions at you guys . I've got another though. Will those rims just bolt on or will I need to get spacers ? I don't want them rubbing on the insides and I don't want to have tear up the insides of my wheel wells.

I'm going to say thy should just bolt right on. Back spacing should be fine. Wouldn't hurt to trial fit them. The 18x9.5 are the same width that came on my SS, and also the same overall diameter. And the front ones aren't as wide.... So... I believe they will work without spacers.

Everything I've read suggested the same thing. But my local tire guy is saying I may need spacers... I think I'm gonna call another tire shop. Thanks for your replies

I ran 275/35/18's on all four corners of my 98 Z28. No problems. The wheels where C5 motorsports too, fit like a charm.
