My 1995 z28 shut off while test driving it. Now I have no dash lights or anything electrical.

I have checked the cables and fuses. I think it might be the ignition switch. Hubby and I am going to check that once I get home from work.

It was the ignition switch. Now it wants to jerk while driving in a high gear. It acts like its not getting fuel and service engine soon light came on. Any suggestions. Had been sitting for almost seven years. Might put sea foam in it and more fresh fuel.

Well 7 year old gas certainly isnt helping it. I wouldn't have even run it with that gas. I would drain whats in it and put fresh fuel in it to start with.

If the gas is 7 years old, congratulations, you just ran straight varnish through your engine lol.

Flush that gas out, new filter, seafoam it and you might get lucky and not have to do injectors.

I didn't run that gas through it. I drained the tank completely and cleaned it out. Even put a new fuel pump and fuel sending unit in it. I think it could be the plugs. Advance auto said that they had plugs that cross referenced with the ones I needed. Had to change the gap in them but might get the exact ones I need and change them out.

Ok thought I had everything fixed but now when I get above 40 it starts bucking and acts like its losing power. When it gets back up to 35 it wants to go fast. It just repeats.

Did you replace the fuel filter after you cleaned the tank and replaced the pump and sending unit?

Just bought a new one. Going to change it out in the morning. Could that be the easiest scenario? Could there be anything else if that doesn't work?

Can't remember the name. It's for OBD1 and OBD2.
