Any Firehawk owners out there

Hello I found a 94 Firehawk in a North Carolina field. Bought it although rough. It ran like a monster, I took a Nascar friend with and he loved it,
Have some issues with it and I need to talk to other Firehawk owners.
Thanks,
Terry

Welcome, nice find. Those early fourth gen firehawks are pretty hard to find. Once you clean it up it'll be quite a beast.

What questions do you have that only Firehawk owners can answer?

Ask away, it's just a T/A without the high rise spoiler and / or a formula with a firehawk badge.

The early fourth gens had intake and exhaust work too though, right? That's why they make 315 HP instead of 275?

IIRC they had the larger TB from the corvette and exhaust was different the factory tune was different also.

So than a firehawk tb would be a good upgrade over a stock one? That way you could avoid the fitment issues of an aftermarket one

I suppose it's the same TB the LT1 corvettes have. FWIW I have a BBK 58mm TB and didn't have fitment issues.

Thanks for all the replies:This is number 269 of 500 for 1994 Firehawk
First of all it is pretty rough, but only has 57K miles. I guess someone put it away and then left it outside for too long.
Exterior skin is sunburned and will be painted Satin Black.
The interior is good but everything is loose and squeaky.
The LT1 is in good shape, but I had to change all fluids and found the alternator, power steering pump and AC compressor all not working good enough, so I replaced them.

questions::
The power steering reservoir is still very warm and spitting alittle fluid out the cap, after the new pump and driving hard for 15 miles any ideas on that???

Where do you get the foam that attaches to the hood around the ram air filter??

I need a Hood catch ( the u shape mount that screws into the hood) where do you get one?.

I also need a radio as the casette make a tick noise when is on, radio works fine.

Any help would be great.
Terry

Sounds like the cap seal may be bad.

You should be able to find a catch for it at your local salvage yard

Also, are you wanting a original replacement radio or an aftermarket, more updated radio for it?

Did you over fill the reservoir?? Maybe put to much fluid which is just as bad as not having any

Did you burp the air out of the steering system after you replaced the pump? If not you should, get the front end up in the air and turn the wheels back and forth a lot with the cap off to work the air pockets out of the lines.
