can a ls1 cluster be used in a lt1?

Found one cheap but need to know if it will work in my 97.

my 97 has digital mileage. I think it will cause 97 is one of the interior change years along with the same cluster as in 98+

93-97 is interchangeable, but LS1 model years (98-02) cant be swapped into LT1 model years (93-97) or vice-versa without some major re-wiring.
97 "looks" like 98+ style, but has the versatility to work in any 93-97 model.

To put it simply, no, unless you plan on some serious wiring work, a LS1 cluster will NOT work in your LT1.
