Car has 2 P1441 CODES ?

I have a 97 rs 3.8 and it has 2 codes. both p1441. what should i check or replace. ps gas cap is fine and has been checked already.

whats next??

Check for vacuum leaks, P1441 has to do with the entire evap system so it could be the purge solenoid or a leak in the line somewhere. It's going to take a little bit of hunting.

P1441 Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) system flow during non-purge
Or a bad gas cap seal or the cap isn't being tightened enough.
Rule is tighten until it clicks a minimum of 3 times.

the cpas tighteneed god and the seal looks okay. i wish it was the cap trust me but i dont think it would throw 2 codes.

whats the best way to check the vaccum system and diagnose this issue

nobody has any more info on this. the code comes up twice. and the gas cap is fine.

what do i look for and how to i track this down

yes im new to camaros so im asking for more specifc guidance thanks. what should i check for on the car, and how should i test each pasrt to find out which it is. the car when i first start it cranks a bit before it cold starts if that help or is related at all

My car had the same thing I replaced the purge solenoid and it's no longer gave me that code, try replacing it, it may be that it could be that.

A P1441 on this model means that the vacuum switch just behind the purge valve is signaling the computer that it see's a vacuum, when the purge valve is not commanded on. The most common causes are a bad purge valve, or a bad switch.

Simply put the EVAP purge valve was open when it should not have been. Likely a mechanical failure of the purge valve.

The solenoid is the switch, the valve is what gets switched...open or closed...
