Compatible grey headliner and sunvisors for my 97

Just wondering what other years came with the medium grey. I need these parts for my girlfriends car but wile at pickapart etc. We found great variations between grey from year to year.

Seems like tis grey is pretty specific to the 97 model year and possibly 96. 98 and later seems to be darker.

This isn't charcoal though it is called medium grey.

These are probably a bit faded but the color is about this color

Same thing. Camaro's sometimes called it Medium Grey.
93-96: Graphite
97-99: Charcoal
00-02: Ebony

You'll have alot more luck finding the parts under "Charcoal" than you will under "Medium Grey".

One other question, could this z28 have had a leather interior. If you look at the door panels where the grey vinyl is my 97 has cloth like the center of these 97 seats. I know my 97 to be correct since it was bought new or did te z28 just come with the vinyl door panel material even if it ad cloth seats.

right behind the door handle my 97 has material like the center of these seats.

You're right. Goddamnit, I always do that. In my head I'm thinking 97-99, but I always freaking type 96. Good catch.

Check the RPO codes to find out whether it came with leather or cloth interior.
Previous owner could've swapped them out.

RPO label on door doesn't match this z28 so door had to be changed since it shows a LS1 engine code.

Why don't you post a pic of your car?

Keep in mind, camera lighting, surrounding areas, sun fading, aging, etc are all factors that come into play. Graphite would definitely be darker than your interior, but charcoal is compatible.

The z28 doesn't have a headliner, I found two at pickapart but neither match this 97.

both were from 98-up one is a ebony color the other a few shades darker then my 97 medium grey.

When my 97 was ordered new I remember a choice of 3 greys

light grey
medium grey
charcoal

Her z28 carpet and interior panels seem consistent to the shade of mine.

So I'm looking in my Camaro whitebook, and apparently there was a medium grey leather interior option in 1997. So maybe you're right about the car being originally leather. Or maybe you have the dark grey cloth interior and because its cloth and doesn't have the depth in color as leather, it looks lighter. I have a 96 graphite leather interior, and to me, the cloth-ish materials of the interior (headliner, carpet) looks a shade or two lighter then the leather pieces. In theory they could of faded some, but I think it's just the different materials have different finishes to them.

Just my theory.

Do you know how to glue in your headliner? I would just get some headliner material and hang it up there myself.

The materials are cheap and headliners are easy to do...hell, around here you can get a mobile headliner guys to come and R&R your liner for $50...

Here's one I did for my son's car...his was broken in half...I fiber-glassed it back together, put an area for a center console in it, and then used a trunk liner on it...

I looked at your pictures. From looking at my 97 hardtop camaro which has no fading on it's headliner. Its headliner is a shade or two darker as is my carpet. Your seats are darker then mine though.

I just ordered a 60x60 medium grey upholstery kit so we will see how it matches.

The t-top headliner I bought is more your shade it came from a 1999 camaro.

My headliner is darker than the seats.
It's almost black.

I like how your dash matches the rest though, never seen that before. My dash and console are more of an ebony color as are my a-pillar trim panels.
