Air pressure has nothing to do with the thermostat.
The thermostat is in the cooling system.
The reason it might be getting warm is because with the AC or defroster off, the cooling fans don't turn on until 221° for low speed fans and 235° for high speed fans.
When the A/C is on, the fans run at low speed until temp hits 235° ands then the high speed fans kick in
When moving over 40 MPH the fans are always off
