Exclamation Fuel Sending unit '94 Compatible with '96?

Hello everyone, recently my fuel sending unit failed, so I need to buy a new one (used)..anyway I am currently looking at a good deal on a 1994 5.7L Z28 Fuel Sending Unit/with pump...but it is listed as being compatible only with 93 94 95...mine is a 96, I'm hoping since its still a fourth Gen z28 it should work? I just need to be sure before I make the purchase. Thanks!

93-02 are 4th gens. I don't think it'll work because of quite a few changes in electronics/wiring in 96.
Why not buy new anyway? Buying used, especially a part known for failure is wasting money IMHO.
Welcome btw.

Edit- I see you corrected yourself. Gj.

Garage
before you throw money away check your sending unit sender to float clips. 97 I bought didn't work either just wrapped paper clip around sending unit arm and float and it has worked fine since.

look in upper right area of this picture, you will see my small piece of wire securing float arm to sending unit. If the tabs break float will move and not move sending unit
