No such thing. The vortec is a GM truck motor. The difference between the corvette LT1 and the Fbody LT1 is the vette motors have 4 bolt mains and the fbody is 2bolt main. I would guess he is pulling your chain but the only way to tell is to pull the oil pan.

its most likely just a plain old LT1, not a corvette motor. People just call it a corvette motor because its based off the same block. That's just the guy trying to get more money out of ya haha

@ fox he said hes going to look at the car tomorrow 2800 cash for it. Making it sound like perhaps he didn't mean your post, perhaps 2800 for the one he's going to check out.

OP: did he buy the car with this engine in it or did he swap them himself? If he bought it as then he might not know, if he put it in then he is trying to screw you. Also, try to ask a specific make model and year of car engine is from and you should have your answer as to what engine is in it. Unless again he just doesn't know...

I'm sure he meant Borla. And isn't the corvette motor an LT4 ?

Only 96 corvettes were an lt4. The lt4 only came with a 6speed connected to it also.

1997 SLP SS Camaro had a limited run on special edition LT4 SS Camaros . They made like 108 of them. All six speed manuals I believe too.

It goes into the intake elbow just before the throttle body.
Has a plastic elbow that plugs into the intake elbow.
