What kind of 350? Are you talking lt1 or ls1 or a non computer controlled engine?

Just put a correct motor in it with computer controls and keep it legal and simple.

Yes use a LT, LS or a truck motor. It will be much easier than using an older carb motor which is illegal anyway.

Actually I'm pretty sure carbing an ls1 is illegal too.

Federal Law states that you can not put an older engine in a newer year car if it is to be registered to be driven on state or city highways/streets. For your car, motor has to be '94 or newer. An actual "race car" isn't registered to be driven on state or city highways/streets, and is always "trailered" to and from a race track.
And yes, you can carb an LS1 and still be legal, as long as the state the vehicle is registered in doesn't have emissions testing. Emissions controlled States requires the vehicle to be kept same as it did when first built by the vehicle manufacturer. If you replace the motor, the same kind of motor must go in and all emissions parts and components have to be operational.
The same year or newer motor/vehicle law is a Nationwide Federal Law for all vehicles. Just the States that don't have emissions testing don't check for this. But, could still be fined if caught and law was enforced.

In a nutshell.

Still unlawful to have a motor in a vehicle older than the vehicle the motor is going in. Just not having emissions testing you are less likely to get caught.

And that will take us back to square one.

That said, the PCM you'll be removing has nothing to do with lights.
You're going to have instrument issues though, Tach, Speedometer for starters.

Do you intend for this car to be fully streetable,
and what transmission are you planning on using?
