I just bought this car and am having problems with it. When the car is warmed up, its hard to start. It acts like the timing is advanced. IAT sensor? crank sensor? When the car is cold it starts like a champ every time. Any suggestions?
It may be the ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature) sensor on the front of the engine under the air intake snorkel and Throttle Body. I just went through a problem with the engine dying after it got warm and no re-starting at all until the engine was stone cold. That turned out to be a bad MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor on top of the intake snorkel. You might want to try unplugging the 4 wire MAF sensor when the engine is warm and see if it starts any better. If not, the ECT is the more likely culprit. ~FH
