I had to change the motor in my 1998 camaro with the 3.8, when i tried to get the dip stick tube out i broke it now i cant find one no where and dont know where else to look please help me, im in Port Huron, MI. 48060 any help would be greatly appreciated thanks for your time......
that's for the transmission,, ebay and those salvage yards are your best bet,, its really pisses me off when dealers tell you they don't make a part anymore,,I still think they should offer parts, but yea,, Your not only one in the boat of hard parts to find.
Ive done everything on these cars, except head gaskets,, So I know whats your best bet in finding parts,, there really not much you can do,, try a town close to you with a bigger Salvage yard,, or call a relative in a bigger town and let them go check and mail it to you.
well I found a dip stick tube used on craigslist but unfortunatley the guy that I bought the motor from screwed me the motor was supposed to be a fresh rebuild but it just masteriously has a rod nod, go figure. some people in the world are just foul... thanks alll for your help again it was very much appreciated....
Well, just cos it has a rod knock doesn't mean it wasn't rebuilt. Could be this or maybe just rebuilt poorly.
