carbon build up

My service light came on took it to autozone and they said it was carbon build up anyone know war caused this and how to fix it

I'm not sure forgot to get the paper all he said was carbon build up he didn't really help me when I asked how to fix it

Carbon build up where would be the biggest "need to know", lol

Carbon build up on the pistons is an easy fix, you can do it with the engine running actually, but carbon build up, say, in the EGR system means you will have to remove things and start digging it out...

Quite a few of those guys that work at those places have never wrenched a car a day in their life and wouldn't be able to tell you anything anyway...unless it was to sell you car wash/wax or some other "mechanic in a bottle"...

I don't think I've ever seen an OBD code for carbon build up.

Yeah, I don't think so either...however some systems can get effected and carbon build can be the issue...
