lower intake manifold

I'm puttinf it back together and i have 12 screws, like I'm supposed to, but one off them is real long compared to the others. Have any experience with it? Also it's a v6 and it's stock , i just don't want to strip the bolts.

Ah, so I would put the plenum gasket, the upper intake part and screw it in from the top?

From what I remember yes. The thermostat housing has a short bolt and a long bolt so that has to be the one you are talking about.

The upper part of my intake doesn't have a hole that would screw in from the top, at least not one that would lead to the intake manifold

Take a few pictures so we can know for sure what bolt your talking about. I know there are two long bolt that go in to the heads in the center of the lower intake

To be honest it looks like one of the bolts that bolt the upper intake to the lower intake near the middle on an angle in

The only reason i don't think out goes through the upper into the lower is because there's thetighteningsequence and i wouldn't be able to do that if that isthe case. I did have a baggy for them, but I didn't realize there was a hole on the bag. I also put screw that went around the intake in the bag as well.

The only thing I can think of was I dropped or lost the other bolt, and this is my first time fixing something like this on my car. I changed the head gaskets, and now I'm putting back together. I did have some semi professional help though. I thought i should've taken more pictures along the way.
