The question about what comes with what package gets asked a lot, so here are some of the answers. If any thing is not listed please add it to list.



Y87 Performance Package


96-97 four wheel disc brakes (J65)

96-98 Auburn LSD (G80)

99-02 Zexel-Torsen T-2 LSD (G80)

96-02 P235/55R16 Goodyear Eagle (QCB)

96-02 Dual Exhaust

93-02 Sport Steering (14.4:1 ratio-same as V8)

98-02 4 wheel disc brakes STD (J65)


W68 Sport AppearancePackage



97-02 Ground Effects

97-02 Fog Lights

97-02 Dual Exhaust w/Aluminum Tips



Camaro RS Package


96-97

  • Ground Effects and High-level 3 piece Spoiler
  • P235/55R16 Goodyear Eagle (QCB)
  • 16x8 Cast Aluminum Wheels
  • Air Conditioning
colors not available on RS
Cayenne Red Metallic
Quasar Blue Metallic
Mystic Teal Metallic
Dark Purple Metallic



Y3F sport appearance package



98-02

same as RS package, but for V6 and V8




SLP RS Package 01-02



The 2002 Camaro RS package offered by SLP could be added to V6-powered Camaro's for $849. It was available for cars finished in Artic White, Light Pewter Metallic, Silver Metallic. Navy Blue Metallic, Onyx Black, Monterey Maroon Metallic, Sunset Orange Metallic, Mystic Teal Metallic and Bright Rally Red. The RS content included a front grille with the Chevrolet bow-tie logo, an interior plaque with RS badge, 3 exterior RS badges, a dual-outlet exhaust system with a high-performance muffler (adds 5-hp and a throaty exhaust sound) and black or silver striping. The black striping was not available for Onyx Black or Navy Blue cars and the silver striping was not available for Light Pewter or Sunset Orange cars.

97-02
  • 12363906 – Extreme Sport Suspension Package
    Includes 1LE front stabilizer bar (32mm) with harder mounting bushings, link kit, and track bar (with harder bushings).
  • 12363985 – Zexel-Torson Torque Sensing Differential

  • 12371046 – Stripe Package (Silver)
  • 12371047 – Ornamentation Package
    Includes four Firebird GT decals and one dash plaque
  • 12371049 – Front Black Floormats
    These mats are premium with Firebird GT logo.
  • 12371050 – 17x9 Aluminum Firebird GT Wheels
    Includes four wheels p/n 12366597, center caps p/n 12366598, and jounce bumper spacer kit p/n 12363935.
  • 12371055 – Body Extension Package
    Includes front and rear air dams, and rockers (1993-97).
97
  • 12371042 – V6 Cat-Back Performance Exhaust Package
    This package is 304 stainless steel. Fits 1996-97 3800 V6.

  • 12371043 – Cold Air Induction Package

Finally, with help form a fellow fbody expert, here are the RPO codes, that make an RS an RS...lol

1SN/1SR/BASE MODEL
1SP/1SS/PREFERRED EQUIPMENT GROUP 1
1SQ/1ST/PREFERRED EQUIPMENT GROUP 2

A regular V6 Camaro coupe will only be 1SA, 1SB, or 1SC
the convertible will be 1SD, 1SE, or 1SF.

STICKY. STICKY STICKY.

My biggest complaint about this place. There are a ton of how-to threads and information based threads that should be stickied and are not. Most of them I find on accident doing google searches unrelated to this site. Sure it would cause more "clutter" how about stickie threads for the stickie threads? then they could be organied/ easy to find and help reduce the same reoccurring topic threads.
