Link to ads, or pics? Extremely hard to tell the value of a car off of pictures on the internet though.

I would tend to agree, unless it is in pristine condition.

Problem #1 is they didn't make any 3rd gen vert's with a 5.7L. Only thing you could get was a 5.0L with that body.

Would help to see some pics. Still, may not be a bad price if it is in really great shape.

Doesn't mean he didn't swap in a 5.7. He could have done that.
And we are still waiting for the OP to post a link to said 3rd Gen.

Right but not being a #s matching car makes the chances of it being work 5200 alot less likely

That doesn't matter. Owner can ask what he wants, doesn't "have" to be worth what he's asking. Someone will buy it eventually. It's better with a 5.7 anyway. And .... 3rd Gen's aren't worth anything anyway. Not like they are a collectors car or anything, where #'s matching would be significant.

In 20 years how many #s matching 3rd gens will be around? Theyre getting pretty scarce now.

Possible, but I'm guessing its like most people just saying its a 5.7L because they are trying to pull one over, or they got told that and are regurgitating bad info given to them from when they bought it. Without paperwork/proof of a swap, its a 5.0 all day long. Bottom line is this would raise some caution flags with me about the truthfulness of any said upgrades or maintenance items being actually done if they can't prove it.

My camaro is all number matching and rpo codes all there expect missing is floor mats. It's 350 tpi ttops A/C bose sound system car.

You can tell its 305 or 350. You have to look behind the block there have stamp say 5.0 or 5.7. It's hard to look since so close to firewall.
