Does anyone know anything about the Borla ATAK exhaust, I currently have the flow master exhaust...I like the sound, but was thinking about installing something with more deeper rumble without the type of exhaust that sounds like it's ready to shut off as it rumbles. I have a 1987 IROC 5.7 and just wanted some advice, should I leave the Flow master or would other suggest something with a deeper roar?

Borla is better quality period. Sound is preference. Also what makes a car sound like it's gonna stall is having a bigger cam. I would suggest going on youtube and looking up with of your type of car with the same motor and listening to different setups. There may be one you like better than even the Borla.

Thanks! HotRodd, I have been checking youtube, but haven't heard any exhaust that I've liked that have my 350 in it, but the one I Liked the guy was from Japan, but had the 385 motor with the system, which I absolutely loved the sound. He had the part number and other essential info, so I was leaning toward getting that one, although I do like my Flowmaster, but his Borla 's sound was so much stronger with an even growl.

I'm definitely a novice at this, so I really appreciate your feedback, I really want to know I have a quality exhaust set-up and when I saw the Borla, I was quite impressed and your feedback helped confirm it for me...I will keep listening, but the Borla for now is my choice.

Thanks again,

No problem. I'm sure it'll sound great. Borla is pretty much accepted everywhere as the top notch. As far as quality, it doesn't get much better. Another great brand is Corsa. Borla and Corsa are the top 2.

I've heard that a few times as well. I didn't want to specify which is number one so I said they both are top 2 lol.

That's if you just want really loud and obnoxious. For great rumbly tone, a Borla muffler is great. Deleting cats is ok too if you don't have emissions testing. And if it's only visual, gut the cats.
