Changed wireset dist cap n rotor and plugs then check engine light came on code is for map sensor I seen that I shorted cylinder 8 wire got burnt up I fixed that the check engine light went off drove for a good hour and it came back on so is it safe to say its time to change my map sensor ?
How do I check the hose for a leak ? I know then end that plugs in was dirty I cleaned that out and the map sensor as well the connections are still good
Ok so checked for a leak and that's not it so I changed the map sensor drove for a mile then it came back on with same code what could it be there's no leak and I changed the map sensor :/
Poor electrical connection, open or short in circuit, defective ECM, leaking OR restricted vacuum hoses, defective sensor.
Clear the codes first then see if the problem is cured.
