Right I read that so its my understanding that it wouldn't hinder the car from running just getting it started would be a bitch? Cruz I've got a problem but my injectors are firing when it cranks just doesn't run on afterwards

VATS stands for "Vehicle Anti-Theft System". If the VATS is defective, a security light on the dash will be on and the car will not even crank to start. The VATS system is coded to the ignition key chip. Measured in Ohms, the VATS module and key chip must match in Ohms. If it doesn't, the module shuts off the ignition, keeping the motor from cranking. Could be 2 things wrong: 1... The 2 very small wires that go from the key switch to the module has been broken, or 2.. The chip on the key is warn down so much it isn't getting contact when inserted into the key lock switch. Remedy, a new key .... Repair the broken wires or... You can do the VATS bypass, which I do NOT recommend.

Right but I were able to crank the car should it be able to run without the vats working or does the vats also stop it from running totally?

No, you need the VATS working or bypassed to start the engine.

It's not going to run if you can't start it.

I can start it by making a wire to jump the starter but I wanna know does the vats stop the ecm from working the injectors after its running cuz it shoots fuel into the throttle body but it won't run after the fuel is spent

Yes, vats doesn't let the fuel pump or injectors work.
