Re: Tint % on 87 IROC Camaro

I currently have 35% on the sides and back, but I'm thinking I should have went darker. Just didn't want to draw too much attention from the cops, for having too dark of a tint, especially on my Red vehicle.

It looks pretty good, especially at night, but the sun rays still make it hotter inside coming off the glass than I'd prefer in the day, so I am debating going with 20% on the sides and maybe darker on the rear; although I have Louvers on the back window, so I could just go with 20% all around.

Just curious what other's have done.

I have 35% on the sides and 15% in the rear. It's the legal limit here, but I've done 15% all around on my previous vehicle. It was difficult at times to see at night.

Your Camaro's tint is sweet!...looks like from your plates that you're in Florida, so you probably don't get hassled for the tint being too dark. I love the way the 20% looks on the Red, which is the color of my 87...I'll go with the 20% and hopefully here in Michigan, I don't get hassled.

I'll just roll them down, if I see any cops. Thanks! For you input.

Correction, I Love the way your 15% looks on your Red, in Michigan the Tint shops can't go darker than 20%.

Whether it looks good or not, still not functional at night. You're more likely to pulled over for 5% than 20%

Thank you, I'm very proud of my car and I love hearing other people appreciate it the way I do. I try to keep it looking nice. And I love 15-20 I think you'll be very happy and will LOVE it. Meatwads looks fantastic as well, and I almost went with 20 as well but in Florida the back window legal limit is 15 so I just decided it to all be the same. Your car looks very nice and will look great with the new tint, post some pics of it when ever you get it done!! I'd love to see it and I can't wait!! Good luck
