Save yourself from trouble and get rid of the chrome covers. Get some nice covers instead of stamped steel shit. They WILL leak.

Okay I understand that they'll end up leaking but why does them being chrome/stamped make them start leaking eventually? Because its not a thick enough metal?

Stamped steel end up warping due to heat because they are so thin. Chrome ALWAYS starts leaking to matter what the application. I've seen new chrome things leak.
