What type of intake?

I was wondering, since my engine started out as a 400, then went to a 408 I think, and then was turned into a sb 427, what type of intake should I get if I am looking for one? I think that's it's just a stock intake. I know it doesn't look like anything special... And my dad says its nothing performance based. I would like one that isn't solid but has that air gap/passage. But the question is will a sbc 400 intake fit a sbc 427? One I would like is something similar to this. A low rise intake for a carb 427.

All that's changed to the block is the bore and stroke. Any 400 small block intake will fit. Actually that would be more dependent on the heads used at this point.

Ah thanks! Idk what type of heads they are. I guess I will look and check them out, look for a part number or something. Or ask my dad. It was his motor... So idk. I think I may need to pull the motor and have some repair work done. Sleeved, hopefully pistons aren't boiled, etc. sarge got really hot one day... And that's no bueno, when the motor is already got thin walls and has such extensive work done to it... My 305 can handle it this can't. So what kind of performance gains can actually be gained by this type of intake? Basically from what I have always thought, is that with that gap, air can circulate better and the intake won't be as hot. It won't cool it down necessary, but will not allow it to get as hot as a standard intake... If this is right, it'll allow for better fuel atomization, added to the intake gasket with the mesh screen correct?

Gains will be very minute. As with any Intake.
And yes on the other question.
