Idk what's going on under my car but there's a bad rattle that starts when I get to about 20MPH it's hard to pin point where the sound is. But it sounds like its coming from the rear driver side or mid point of car. But there is no noise when idle or just revving motor so it's not a exhaust problem I believe
Check the wheels to make sure they're torqued on correctly. Check the wheel hubs to make sure the bearings aren't damaged. Check the suspension components to make sure they aren't loose.
Check the exhaust anyways.
Wait for the car to be cold.
Lay on the ground and grab the exhaust tips/muffler pipes and shake as hard as possible in a bunch of different directions. If you hear it hit metal somewhere then you need to stop that sound from happening (new/different mounts, moving the pipes around, padding, etc.). Kick the pipes if you have to. If you hear a rattle when you kick them, that could be your sound.
If the axle is chewed up, you'll be better off with a new axle instead of the "repair/axle-saver" bearings since once those are installed it's a bitch/impossible to remove the axle shaft without cutting it.
I believe this person has the same problem as me its the exact sound i have been hearing what bearing can it be? or gear? BAD REAR END - YouTube
