my NEW formula lq4 build!

I haven't been on here in awhile due to a busy schedule but I am back but without a lt1 trans am. (i might have to change up my profile name now...) I just traded my 93 ta for a 98 formula roller. I got a 99 lq4 a few months back and had been planning on building the shit out of it and dropping it in the ta. Well after everything I learned about what I'd have to do to convert (ls k_member, steering rack, wiring.) I ran across a 98 formula with a shit ton of parts. A whole disassembled ls1, a 6.0 block, a set of 2 17" zo6 wheels with M/T drag radials on the back. (correct me if I'm wrong about them zo6 or not.) A practically new a/c system from a 20k mile car he says. It all looks clean. Well now back to the motor. My plans are to tear the motor down. Get it machined and keep the bottom end stock if there are no issues with the block of coarse. Now I have the 241 heads and the intake from the ls1. From the research I've done I have seen that they will be a plus for my lq4 with a lil bit of port work. If anyone has any arguments or suggestions I'm all ears. I'm very new to ls motors and friggin stoked to finally have one to build. Also in the market for a ls t56 if anyone knows of one for a fair price. I needs some input if anyone has done anything similiar of a build. On a bit of a budget but have a lil spending money. So lets help me out please. Thanks in advance! Peace!

Just found out the car is already equipped with a built 4.10 rear end. now the only big purchase I have left is a transmission. Can't find a t56 for a decent price anywhere. Can I use the lt1 t56 or does it have to be the ls1 tranny?
