3rd gen wheels on 4th gen

I have a spare set of wheels and tires for my 91 Z28 and my son's 95 Camaro is in need of some new tires, both have the same size tires. My question to someone who may know is will the 3rd gen wheels be OK on the 4th gen? I know they are different offsets and that worries me a little. Just trying to avoid trading out wheels to see it not work. Thanks.

I know it's possible. I've seen it done. I think if you get the right size tire to go with the rim, (which I'm assuming is a 15 inch rim), and maintain the right aspect ratio, you shouldn't have any issues like messing with the computer or anything like that.

They'll bolt up, but they will likely have steering issues such as rubbing the inner fenders. They will need spacers to fit properly and that will cause them to stick out of the wheel well. It will look bad imo, but with spacers it's possible.

In some cases, I disagree.

Lol, it's not the iroc style on a 4th gen I dislike, it's the fact that they will stick out of the wheel wells.

I can imagine that being alright. I saw a firebird (3rd gen) with front and rear sticking out, it didn't look terrible in the rearend but the front looks weird that way for sure

If the back spacing isn't correct it will really affect the steering.

Go to this site and read the bottom. Third gen wheels won't work on a 4th gen's.

Thank you for all the information. So much for that thought. I guess I'm back to switching tires out.

I got a all rear 3rd gen irocs on my 4th gen, so no offset . 2 were chrome and 2 were stock so I painted them black. I like the look and i've got some compliments on it. and I got the whole set of rims for under $100 with a leftover 88-90 iroc wheel im going to sell on ebay.

Leftover ? You might want to save it for a spare.

It's a front and the newer style iroc , I've thought about it though. I paid $30 for 3 irocs with matching tires 2 rears and 1 front, the front it newer style so I went to the junk yard back picked up the 2 chrome rears with tires for $50. I can make my money back on that one iroc.
