If you're very serious about doing this, you will need to go talk to local shops. There is no price estimate for this. Some could charge $1500 some could charge $15000.

Things like providing your own motor and parts would help lower costs. (K member, wiring, transmission) If the shop chosen allows it.

Labor is going to be the biggest cost in this, but unless you are willing to learn how to drop the 3.4 and install the lt1 in your driveway it looks like you have no choice but to call around for the lowest price.

To be honest unless you are just doing this to learn, or you have huge sentimental attachment to this car, I would sell the 3.4 and buy a car with a lt1 already. And if you can find the right deal, step up to the ls powered f bodies.

I'd say $800-$1500 for complete engine with harness, pcm, hoses, etc.
If you got an auto $200-$500 for a used 4L60E
About $100 for V8 engine Cradle.

That's all you really need. You should probably upgrade your brakes, suspension, and driveshaft, but technically not necessary. And you got a 94, so if you find a 94 LT1 with PCM it's just plug and play, not a lot of rewiring necessary.

Edit: Just noticed you said have a shop do it. That's going to cost ya. Just do it yourself or buy a V8 car.

Your looking way at the low side of things.

I'd say atleast 1000 for a decent engine. I've seen them go cheaper, but they look like they have 200k on them.

Tranny is def going to be atleast 500.

100 is low for a kmember but it can be found.

your forgetting accessories, and stuff.

a shop will take roughly 16-20 hours to complete this. Id say at 50 an hour thats about 1000 atleast, most shops here will charge closer to 65.

Id say overall about 2500+

Ok lol I don't have an area to work on it so I suppose looking for another car will be my only option.
