Post Pod Filters v. Stock Air Box

Does anybody know if it's worth it to change out your stock air box for a pod filter? I've read on modding forums that it will give you a few extra hp, is that true?

It depends on the application but sometimes a pod filter will lead to warmer air being sucked in which will negate any benefit of the freer airflow. Usually a cold air intake (air routed from under the car) will produce the best gain.

By and large from most applications there are minimal gains. Where the real gains come from is the tune followed by the pod filter
