Cleaning Honeycombs and make em new

Had a Talk with my dad and he told me when he knows how the Honecombs on my car open up, means how the plastic can be removed from the groundplastic, then he will clean em inside and make em like new for me...he did this to all his cars in germany but he has no idea how to crack the bird lamps

So he evidently does not know how to separate them.
For MANY years it was thought to be impossible, but determined owners continued to try.
It's a pain in the rear end to do, but here's one successful story:
Finally did it, repaired the faded tail light. - LS1TECH

98% chance you'll crack/ruin the taillight. Easier to just replace IMO.

Yeah I know, but I mean do you just have out of nowhere 400 Dollars for new honeycombs? That is what they sell em for, some places they cost even more and then in some years again ? Hmm The idea is good and all, but why not taking care of that problem once and for all I just wonder why the heck nobody make em new like they do with the 4th gen Camaros. I might ending up doing, what I was doing and make me a Transmaro and fix the taillights to LED's...other then this, you never know what you get when you buy new Honeycombs

Buy a good one (that isn't already faded) and seal it up before you install.

OK, keep searching eBay and Craigslist for some good used ones then. local salvage yard. Just have to keep at it, could take awhile or you could get lucky and find some soon for cheap.

How did you just out of nowhere have money to buy your car??

Get some new lights. It's not worth trying to fix them... Yet. Someone is working on making clear lens replacements for them, and then it might be worth separating the lens from the reflector to repair them.
