Go OEM, thats way to overpriced and it will look like shit. Do it the right way, and if you keep it moisturized and covered from the sun, it will last a lot longer.

Yes, they dry rot SUPER easy! I know some people like myself hate the ghetto shining dash so I use a low shine armor-all

Get the OEM and don't put any kind of armor-all crap on it or any other part of your car.
ABS plastic does not absorb any kind of moisture / conditioner.

No, but I'm pretty sure the stuff (not alcohol based) does protect it

Be that as it may (I can't really comment on that since I don't know for sure, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me) Armor All is an oil based product that will dry out the plastic and make it more prone to cracking.

Im not sure what everyone else uses, i personally just use water in a spray bottle to wipe away the dust. I always have a visor for the front windshield. Im sure Mr. Luos will chime in with some products.

If you just get the OEM replacement and keep it in the shade, you should be fine.

I do pretty much the same but use a little bit of mild soap in the water.

Yea I might go with the cap as a temp fix for now. I heard ricks camaro has one that looks pretty close to an oem with the same grain pattern as the rest of the plastics.
