Gauge face install questions

Hey everyone. I've searched a lot and can't seem to find anything on how to change the gauge faces in my car. I found these gauges on eBay, but I wanted to see how hard it is to do, as well as what tools i need, before buying it. Here is the link. 99 02 Firebird 3 8L V6 Blue Indiglo Glow White Gauges | eBay

Don't buy that. Get a gauge overlay in white from macewen motorsports for $40 and change the bulbs to leds; 10 pack of 5smd on amazon for $10 work great. Thats what I have and install was quick and simple and looks Damn good. I will post pics tomorrow night so you can see. As for tools, all you need is a Phillips screwdriver to.remove lower panel under the steering wheel and the cluster surround and a 5/16 or 1/4 socket with a 6" extension to remove the cluster.

Thanks! Any specific reason why I shouldn't get this though?

Imo, it looks like crap and you need a switch to turn the lights on.

I have almost the same one. It was simple to install, and I just tapped the wires into the parking lights, so they come on with that, or auto headlights. Has a dimmer too which is installed in the bezel. Have white leds in the cluster which makes the needles look great too. I have zero complaints other than the change oil light not lining up but I can't say I ever need that.

Awesome thanks! Not 100% decided on if I feel like changing it yet. I may just wait until I get a tune and put v8 gauges in

I'm happy with mine. I have white overlays on my shifter, HVAC and headlight, so this matched well. And even more so since I have blue LEDs behind them. For a $30 eBay item its been good to me. If it fails I'll just get an overlay from somewhere and swap to red LEDs. No harm done

Whose? Mine or the ebay kind?

Mine would look sooo much better with the T/A bezel.

Yeah those look pretty good. Like I said I may just wait for a 155 mph gauge for when I get my tune. I need the tune anyway because I have gears with LSD off of a v8. Might as well kill two birds with one stone lol

Agreed that it would look better black. Unfortunately I haven't seen any black aftermarket ones

My main question with those is, is it just a sticker or a full faceplate? If a sticker overlay, how do you remove the stock own design?
