louvers

I have been working on cleaning up the look on my 2010 Camaro, debadging and taking off the Camaro letters off the fenders. I really love the look of the rear window louvers but i am a little worried about spoiling the clean look of my car. Any opinions? And if I decide to get them, any suggestions on a good brand that is not too expensive, I'm looking for something between $200 and $300 at the most.

Louvers belong on old vehicles, just tint your windows and leave it at that. They don't belong on a 5th gen

I don't think they look that bad really.
Not on a 5th gen at least. It's really a personal opinion on look as far as appearance goes OP. they would seem like a bitch to keep clean though haha

What's wrong with mixing some of the old with some of the new ? When I first thought of doing it, I thought the same thing, but then I was up in Washington and saw a Camaro driving around and I really liked it. Plus no one in my area has one with them, and I like to stand out a little. I am worried about how to keep them clean lol, and also don't want them to rattle on the window.

Honestly I think lovers look like shit on any car, especially on a 5th gen just my opinion though.

Not a huge fan of convertibles, my bro had a mustang convertible, it was nice in the summer with the top down but I don't really like the way they look with the tops up. I loved my dads camaro with t tops wish they had that for the newer ones.

I think they look stupid.

They make it difficult to see, difficult to clean the window, and difficult to clean the louver. In my opinion they don't belong on any car, ever.

To each their own. People like what they like. Opinions vary and u can't force something u like onto someone else. And vice Versa.

Hmm. Ill admit the louvers ive seen on 1st/2nd gens were ugly. But the body lines of a third gen fit with the louvers very well. Visibility is about the same, as far as cleaning, its a little more difficult but so is the functional hood, the chrome wheels, etc. As far as 5th gens, there not bad. Wouldnt be my first choice. But if i had a black 5th gen i may be able to pull it off. But the window is kind of small

Yea louvers are so 80's but like Michaelrulaz said a black on black 5th gen wouldn't be too bad

I hadn't been a fan of louvers and didn't have them on my 86 IROC, but was surprised how nice the GM Camaro Louvers looks on the 87 IROC, I purchased this year. The 5th Gens look so sharp without anything, but as some have said, it's personal preference on what you like, which ultimately is what matters.

I agree visibility wise because I hate using my tiny mirrors but I will say I think they look cool

I have louvers on my third gen, and I have no visibility problems. Everyone always complains about f- bodies, but I've a lot of vehicles with worse visibility. Corvettes have bad problems if your short, jacked up trucks can't see thing close on their ***. verts have small rear windows. its all the same

3rd Gens look so cool with louvers. My uncle used to have a blue 3rd gen t/a when I was like 7 (which got me into firebirds) and it had them
