Well, since the 98-02's are notorious for yellowed headlights and nothing seems to fix it... I decided to go with a new set. I went with the black background ones by DEPO.
I like these better than the halos. Halos are made for ricers, not muscle cars (IMO).

Looks good. I had the Halos on my Camaro for a while, I ended up cutting those wires pretty quickly though.

Hey folks. I know this thread is a little over a month old, but it seems like a reasonable place to post my question. Please feel free to redirect me if I am wrong.

I'm thinking of replacing my headlights if I can't fix the condensation issue I'm having in one of them. Even after the I rid them of the hideous yellowing, they still look like the previous owner took a handful of rocks or a Brillo pad to them at some point. I wanted to wait and save the money for other things on my wishlist, but, fixing problems come before upgrades. Aaaanywho. I'm leaning toward something similar to this or just plain jane OE replacements (Halos are neat in a sci-fi sort of way, I confess. But I want them nowhere near my car).

So, to the point, would the black on headlights similar to this one look decent on my gal? I need an outsider's thoughts as I can't decide if it would fit nicely with other black details or if it would just look like bug eyes.

Thanks!

P.S. If anyone has any great tips for permanently fixing headlight condensation issues, feel free to PM me. I can't see any damage where water may be getting in. I'm looking into it myself on here and elsewhere (there's a CZ thread addressing taillight condensation, I know), but, I'd trust your advice as well.

Condensation is caused by the headlights not being "sealed air tight". They aren't completely sealed, which comes with age. If you can't fix the issue (sealing it) then a replacement would be your next choice. I think halos are cool. I have them on mine, although currently, they are not hooked up. Which will be done in the very near future. After factory replacements are very expensive. Even after market replacement (without halos) are pretty pricey. Reason I went ahead and got the ones with haloes, cos they are cheaper (go figure).
And as far as looks. Just get what "YOU" like.

Shoot yeah they are expensive. But it's definitely looking like replacement is my option. Thanks for the input. The more I see the black background, the more I like those lights. More striking against the white body and less bug-eyed as I originally thought. And I hope you didn't take offense to my halos comment. I do like them a lot. They're really cool.I just can't imagine them on my car. Maybe it's just because I'm so used to seeing the ones I have and imagining them looking pristine.

Noobie asking stupid questions. I apologize. But, thanks for taking the time.

Nice. Those seem like a good marriage between the OE and halo designs to me. The appearance doesn't strike me as odd at all. Maybe it's the fact that other designs I've seen out there such as Spyder or Spec-D don't fill out the space quite right. Stylistically, they remind me of Wall-E's face. lol

I would be terrified to connect the halos, although I know I would be just fine. Every other thing I have taken on with my car begins with an "Oh ****" moment and ends with "That wasn't bad at all."

Definitely gives me more options to think about! Thanks!
