Just to get it runing for now, needs a new transmission since it only runs in reverse but I plan on restoring it to original with maybe a metalic silver paint job

Heres my 79 Firebird last summer that i cloned into a 77

And how it sits now. Basically what happened is the motor went and i decided to go with a pro touring build instead. Still contemplating if i should rebuild the 400 or drop in an LS motor.

While i do like the LS option, my problem with that is the shaker hood. If you drop an LS in, you would loose the functional shaker. You could attach the shaker to the hood but thats kinda gettho...imo

Thats actually my biggest problem too, im not going to bolt it to the hood thats just stupid. And if i have an LS motor in there i want to be able to see it without having a shaker blocking it. And im still deciding weather to go with more of a strip car or more of a cruiser.

I was just saying LSX for the cruiser, but if your only going to drive it on the weekend 400 all the way.
