Camaro SS LE1

Is anybody else impressed with the LE1, it beat out the Boss 302 laguna seca by 4 sec and is only 6 secs behind the ZL1. I think with the alpha platform and new Gen V V8 DI engines around the corner the Camaro will be one hell of a car the mess with. What do you guys think?

It's called the 1LE. Not the LE1.

Yeah, I'm digging the 1LE. They look cooler that the SS in my opinion, and the suspension upgrades are what I'm most interested in (that's why I like the ZL1 so much) Road racing is the greatest form of motorsports and most demanding of the car, driver, and car builders. I was listening to a Camaro podcast on Sunday and they have it on good authority that all the 1LE components are or will be available at GM/Chevy Performance.com of their catologs. I'm sure spots like Pace Performance will sell it too.

The problem with the 1LE in the 4th gens was that for being a race-oriented package, the 1LE components fared much worse than the aftermarket alternatives when it came to improving lap times. For a factory setup, it was good. We'll see over time if that's the case with the 5th gens.

Yah but for 37 grand it's a pretty good deal for those who don't want to drop the cash on a top of the line track package for a stock SS

Yeah, that's why when upgrading my car's stuff the only 1LE component I got and wanted was the driveshaft, I went BMR for the rest of the components and suspension goodies.

I have more faith in the 5th gen1LE because of how good the ZL1 is and the Holden connection with this platform and their vast knowledge in motorsports thru Australian V8 Supercar series.
