First of all, wtf. I was literally yelling at my tv when that zombie attacked Mearl (sp?) right before he shot the Governor. Also, I wonder what's going on with Andrea
People are clearly gonna die on both side next week, unless the group decides to leave, which I don't think they will. So the question is, who?
Daryl* crying was a heart breaker. Norman Reedus is a boss though, and a Boondock Saint. Total badass. I could honestly see the Governor lasting another whole season. He's such a good villain. Something along the lines of him retreating during the war and spending the next season plotting or something. If he does die, it will definitely be the season finale. He's the main antagonist. It would be retarded to do it before then. Also, I hope Andrea gets tortured and killed. She's a dumb ****. I don't use that word lightly but it describes her well. The fact that she consistently fell for his bullshit several times makes her more than deserve it. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they have her somehow break free and kill the Governor in the end. The finale has so many logical and predictable ending possibilities that I hope they pull something awesome out of left field and surprise me. Sunday's episode was awesome. The fact that Glen asked Hershel for permission for Maggie kind of signified the end of Hershel as well, especially with all of the "The things I would do to protect you girls." talk. I like Hershel but he's pretty expendable now. Tyrese and his sister will join the group heading into next season, and maybe Milton if he lives. These are all my opinions though. I could dwell deeper but there really isn't a point. lol
I'm gonna miss Merle. Dude was a f*cking badass, an excellent warrior. That trick with using the car to lure the the walkers out was a great idea and almost worked too, almost f*cking worked.
The shittiest part is that the show is continually killing off old favorites, which is probably the only aspect (besides Rick going crazy) that I do not enjoy about the show.
EDIT: Lol I see Zach dislikes improper character spelling as well

Bingo. Also, killing the characters off keeps it interesting and gets you off the edge of your seat when they are in danger rather than shrug it off. They introduce characters often and when they stick around they mold right in, i.e Michonne, Hershel, Maggie, Beth, etc. Rick going crazy is essential, the whole seeing his wife shit is dumb, but he shows character development. Tyrese will be a big character, like Michonne he is a big role character from the graphic novels.
season one and two were good but I think they ruined the show. I was hoping for more of a realistic "what would you do in the end " show rather than a zombie drama.
Actually, it was never to be a "realistic" "what would you do" type show. It is a zombie drama based on the walking dead graphic novel series.
What surprised me was how close they follow the graphic novels. While there is some deviation and creative license, it still follows very close to the original story line.
I really wasn't interested in it at first. I was into Falling Skies. But, when you work night shift, you get bored watching the same old reruns over and over. I decided to check it out. So I went to project free tv and checked out episode one, I caught up that same night. Been following it ever since.
Season 2 wasn't terrible, it just wasn't nearly as good as 1 or 3. It got very stale very quickly. I miss having Shane on the show, he was a great antihero
I agree. Although season 2 definitely had some intense moments. Although Carl irritated the crap out of me season 2. But he's gotten better and more mature.

I think the governor will definitely die this finale but the question is who will be the one to finally get him. Also, was anyone else surprised at how easily the governor bit through Merl's fingers?
My theory is that the big "army" will invade the prison but the rest of them will be somewhere else. I think the people that can fight will maybe invade the city or maybe they'll all just leave. But I really don't think they will be there when the prison gets attacked.
my only problem with the show, and im agreeing with snipes on this one... shane went too soon. Guy was just a great character in the show and really at times i liked rooting for him more because he was a badass.
Shane dies in the very first episode in the graphic novel. It was kind of inevitable. They couldn't keep the tension between him and Rick up. It would have gotten old.
They never showed Carl actually shooting her either, but we know he did. I don't think she will show up as a zombie because if she did... frankly, no one would give a shit. As far as we're concerned, the less Laurie we see, the better.
I think my biggest issue with the show is the lack of common sense that exists among the characters. Its like in season 1, why would anyone think of going towards the city (even if the CDC was there), cities have more people therefore there are more zombies. Then to make matters worse why would they build a camp outside the city and not have any protection.
Then they started moving and i was like "oh what a great idea" then they stop at hershel's farm and that was smart. But the fact that they dont do any fortification whats so ever (except some cans that could jingle) really pissed me off. There was no backup plan what so ever. If it was me i would have gotten one of those semi trucks they passed, built my refuge out of that and had the ability to become mobile whenever the time needed.
And why is it that everyone they come into contact with is hostile? Also i know shane was supposed to die in the first comic but i really think they should have saved him for latter. he had the perfect archetype for this kind of show. In season two they should have shot him and left him for dead or had him just run off all crazy so he could come back latter.
Does anyone else remember that jet that flew over atlanta in season 1? whats up with that?
I only thought they should be a little more realistic because it adds realism... Theres no way in a zombie apocalypse that i would do have the dumb shit they do...
Pretty sure it was a helicopter and not a jet that flew over Atlanta.
I'd also imagine everyone's hostile because in a world such as that one, there is no longer a sense of initial trust among people. Civilization and humanity are falling apart, people try to attack and betray each other in order to ensure survival. I'd be pretty hostile too. I do think it could be toned down in some ways though. Rick hostility towards Andrea seemed a bit unwarranted, but there is also the fact that the viewer may feel that way as since we were able to view the story from both sides and were not just limited to one viewpoint.
Personally, I have no problem with Andrea, I hope she makes it. All factors considered, I would posit she hasn't really been acting dumb at all, and is actually a pretty good, helpful character. Her morals have largely remained uncompromised and she has a strong sense of loyalty and truly seeks peace. She's one of the few who is truly holding on to her humanity, even after all that she has seen and been through.
Who can blame her? As far as she knew, she would never see her old friends again and they just got finished spending a grueling winter. I don't know about you, but I thought Michonn was a little f*cking crazy the first few times I saw her, so not wanting to leave what seems to be a Utopia in a time of chaos such as that seems perfectly reasonable to me.
I wouldn't say she consistently fell for bullshit, she had no real reason to suspect bullshit at all. It would have just been speculation, notice it didn't take long for her to drop the place and get off the bullshit as soon as she found out the "enemy" were her old friends? She tried to facilitate peace between them and obviously the governor isn't willing to do that. Instead, she tries to escape but is captured and in her current situation.
I can't see anything truly unreasonable that she has done up until this point.
About her being a bitch to Dale in season 2? Yeah, if I was wanting to use my gun during a zombie apocalypse and someone was trying to take that from me, I'd be a little pissed too. Overall she wasn't really a bitch though, and she and Dale had a very close bond. She was obviously extremely devastated about his death afterwards, and Dale didn't die silently cursing her or anything. Yeah she accidentally shot Daryl, that was pretty ****ing stupid, but shit happens (as Carl can tell us).

No. I just don't see any real reason to hate her unless there reason is you hate her for no apparent reason.
Someone like Carl, I could understand. Carol? She's gotten better, but I guess that bitch can die as well. Rick? Well I'm just going to be pissed when finally loses an arm.
Andrea is a spineless coward. I understand wanting to stay at Woodbury but the governor? She just eats his shit up and can never kill him even knowing that he is a monster. She sucks butt. Need that character to hate I suppose
What? She was totally about to kill him in the second to last episode, but Milton stopped her. She literally almost had the gun in perfect position, then got pissed off at Milton for continuing to defend him. I think you're describing him rather than Andrea.
She hesitated to shoot because she didn't want to miss and have him see her. It wasn't even really hesitation, more of preparing the shot. She could have stabbed him in the bed, but she hadn't taken a human life yet at that point (still hasn't). You go be a girl who kills somebody for the first time by stabbing them in the face. See if your nerves don't get the better of you. Lol, stop attacking that chick for dumb reason!
If you said you felt Carl added 0 value to the show, I'd be inclined to agree with you. Andrea however, has played a pretty key role in forming the plot.
I'm not passionate about her at all really. If we were doing this over a character I really gave a shit about, then the cuffs are coming off, chains are about to get broken and feeling will be hurt. If anything, I just enjoy playing the Devil's Advocate.
Oh snipez. You love that dumb hoe. Andrea's just plain annoying. I don't want to hate her, but the annoyance started in s02 and escalated to retarded levels this seasons. Just because she's found the light doesn't make me instantly change my stance. She can dieeeee. Tortured first, hopefully.
Carl has meaning, but he's a kid. He was a pos in s02 but is maturing. He'll eventually have a bigger role.

I really have no real attachment to her as a character at all. If she dies, I won't be upset over it (unlike with Merle). She can't have found a light she never really lost though, so your statement is invalid.
Carl is still one annoying little ****. He's maturing, but he will still always be a kid for as long as this show goes on, so to me, he will always be fairly annoying. I've defended him plenty of times saying he has gotten better, but I feel the same way about that as you do with Andrea it seems lol.
