Ah. I might roll with this or a flat black version:
    Fit Honda 07 08 CBR600RR CBR 600 RR 2007 2008 Fairing Kit ABS Plastics H31 A3 | eBay

Looking them up on 600RR.net, everyone seems to be pleased even though it ships from Hong Kong. Can't complain for around $500.

Do you know anything about replacing plastics, more so buying them? I was looking at Lockhart Phillips, but it looks like they just have carbon fiber everything. I just did a quick search and pulled up this:
    Fit Honda 07 08 CBR600RR CBR 600 RR 2007 2008 Fairing Kit ABS Plastics H31 A3 | eBay

Anything specific I should look for other than fitment issues? Only really need to replace the right side and front, but if I can snag a whole new set, why not?

Yea, thats what I want now. I like this fz6 here in Sioux Falls with no turns- but in Rapid City there's a shitton of trails, and I want a better handling bike, lol. I have a problem with my clutch though...like, it's a workout to pull the clutch in. My hand is so sore right now after riding since 8 am. By the time I got back, I could barely pull it in...

I edited that second to last post in the Math thread, not sure if you saw it or not, our post timing wasn't conducive to the hope that you would see it

You got any suggestions on frame sliders? I saw a shop build a custom cage around a bike on tv, and I've always wanted one for a bike I get. My friend has frame sliders on Harley, and it's saved the body so many times.

I hear ya, that kind of thing would blow. You'd be surprised at how the un-extreme the "extreme" builds from LS1Tech sponsors are. Companies with "600hp+ capable transmissions" Most are honestly blue printed stock rebuilds with a few hydraulic upgrades, almost all have a Transgo HD-2 shift kit, a Corvette servo, some fancy, highly unncessary (and honestly flawed) aftermarket clutch packs, new seals and gaskets, and an upgraded sunshell. The sunshell is the only hard part inside of the transmissions that get updated.

Read these 2 messages from the bottom up to this one:

To be honest, the reason high performance transmission cost so much is not really due to the parts. The bulk of the cost is the labor. For me personally, at this point in time, I can tear down a 4L80E, inspect the entire thing, clean it, re-inspect, stack the internals on the bench (we do it to double check our work, just have a 4L80E yoke welded to the table and stack it from the output shaft up), then put it in the case and assemble the internals and the valve body assembly ready to be on the dyno, in about 4 hours if everything goes smoothly. When I first did it it took me 2 days, and that was with people guiding me and watching. The labor and the knowledge/development is what makes these bitches cost so damn much.

If you were doing it all yourself, you would need to purchase snap ring pliers, we use the "Snap On" brand snap ring pliers. You'd also need two C-clamps, a big screw driver, and a little screw driver. Some snap rings are harder to remove than others, so a cheap little pick might help a LOT, something like the second from the right: http://toolsandmore.us/ProductImages/bigrock/picksbr.jpg

A transgo kit is tried and true, I'll have to check back with my boss tomorrow to see what kind of hydraulic modifications we'll be doing to the 60e.

How light of a refresh? Like tear it all down and rebuild it? Or just a shift kit? I ask because we have a lot of customers who want a "light" refresh (which we don't do) but really mean full on tear down.

Full on rebuild, one that's able to withstand 450-500 hp (What many companies claim holds 800 hp) is not as bad as you think. I'm building a 4L60E tomorrow actually, so I'll be able to get more specific with the part #s and prices then.

Rebuild kit that comes with all new seals, gaskets, frictions and steels (clutches), is around $250-$350. I don't know for sure with the 60 kits. A sunshell upgrade is a relatively inexpensive part, ~50 bucks, and is a definite must. Look into "The Beast" sunshell or the new Sonnax piece.
