Hi. I have a Camaro Z28 00. I. 'm trying to change the rear bearings for a one news. The news are Timken TRP1563TAV. I Think that it is a repair bearing. I have a problem. I can' t to put inside the bearing to flush. I can't put the C - clip in axle. I have taken a pictures. I have read a Timken information, (instructions), and explain that the bearing can be 1/4'' to flange (not flush). Mine, is more inside that 1/4'', maybe 4mm, not 6mm. But however I can't install the C - clip. Please. Help.

A couple of questions...did you need a repair bearing? Were your axles showing signs of wear?
That said, repair bearing DO NOT sit all the way into the axle shaft...most stick out about an 1/8" or so...I know you read that, but 1/4" is too much...as far as getting the C clips to seat, I suggest taking a small piece of wood and a good size hammer to get that axle shaft in there...it will go, but only with some coercion...
On a second note, Timken bearings are the worst repair bearings that I know of and leak 8/10 times installed, hopefully you won't have that problem...but if you do, don't fret that it was your fault that they did...it wasn't...
You shouldn't have to force the axle in the tube to make it to the carrier to put the c-clip in. It should go pretty smooth. And isn't the bearing on the inside and the seal on the outside? Did you put it in the right way or could you be putting it in backwards.
Hi. Maybe the problem is that the axle are not too worn - out. See a pictures about my axles. Maybe I don't need a repair bearing. The problem is that I need 2mm more for get to install a c clip.

No, I see galling on the axle face...it is best to use a repair bearing...otherwise a new bearing stuck in that hole will wear out twice as fast...
You can try and tap that axle in there...most repair bearing require it...I've seen guys use ratchet straps wrapped around the axle from end to end to squeeze the axle back into the axle tubes...
This are the pictures. I Think that are not too bad. Maybe I would need on the one hand a normal bearing (no repair) and the other hand the seal. I also see a rp5707 national repair bearing. This is with minor size than the Timken, just like I need.

Hi. So, the Best solution is a repair bearing? Any other opinion? I have seen national bearing. Can you confirm is Ok for me? It seems that is the perfect size. 2mm minor than the Timken. Thank you.

Hi. I wish something help to me. Finally I have seen that Timken is too big, and the bearing is not flush with flange. So the axle doesn't enter more, and I can't get C - clip. Who knows if works with national (that is more small)? Thk

Hi. I have a BIG PROBLEM. I was changing the bearing by a repair bearings. So, the left side no problem, the c-clip is put. I have a big problem with right side. While I was put in the c-clip, it fall inside the dif and I can't find it... I don't know where is. With the neutral gear, I have moved all system dif but the c-clip is not Here. Where it can be? Sometimes the C clip fall but I have got it without problems. Thank. Please help me.

I had mine fall in the diff and had to probe with a magnet to find it. It was a pain to do but I got it out. Mine was out of the car so I did have that helping me.
Hi again. Can I disassembly the pinion diff? It will be for to see if the c-clip is in diff. How can I remove the diff pinion (only the big,,,...)? I have to remove the two clamps? I have to mark something before dismantling? Thank you.

That's not the pinion that is the carrier.
The pinion is rotated by the drive shaft.
The pinion drives the carrier ( aka differential ) that contains the differential gears where you insert the axles and then the c clips.
Hi. And Thank you. Finally I put national repair bearings. Ok I'll try to find the c-clip. I don't know where is the c-clip. I moved the drive shaft and all carriers and the c-clip is not Here.

Since you are replacing it in the car, gravity won't let it go far...it's probably in the spider gears somewhere...I can't see it falling all the way down to the pinion gear, but an extension magnet should be able to get you down there without disassembly...
Hi again. I'm trying with a magnet and there are no results. I don't know where is, it seems to have disappeared. Someone have a WhatsApp? I need help.

Is it possible that the c-clip may fall behind the pinion gear? Yesterday I moved all drive axle in both directions and nothing. How Can I get the c-clip if is behind pinion gear? Thk.

I doubt it can fall behind the pinion since the pinion is on the opposite side of the ring gear from the spider gear assembly
It's probably in the bottom of the housing.
Hi. I'm crazy with the c-clip. I don't find it. With the magnet, with a flash light, and I can't find. Please, can you explain with a pictures or photos the exactly sides where the c-clip can be? I must to find, or Can I buy a New c-clip and forget the disappeared c-clip?
The problem was the repair bearing axle, because the c-clip not enter fine. I got put tapping with a hammer. In the right side the same, but this time the c-clip jump to... I don't know...
