Where can I get this kit I have the stock year 97 angle down throttle body I would also need the base for the filter I have a box that goes to the side of the car behind a light
Get the lid and some tubing from zzperformance. Its a much cleaner install IMO. The reason for the ducting that goes down is for the pre 99 3.8l throttlebody angle.
His, is a 2000 so doesn't have to worry about that angle down,, but for v6 cold air intake wont do much, why bother , I just got a ram air hood ( factory ) and got the factory ram air box with a SLP lid and your good to go ! All the air yull need for a v6 !
It will help performance when that is what is choking it up. If the engine doesn't need any more air it won't help, but say you put a cam and full exhaust then the stock box might not be enough air.
that cai was $60 bucks when I bought in 08 ($60 cai $300 headers, big difference), makes the bay cleaner. and I have headers also good luck being able to see them, even they dont make a big difference in performance, but the headers make plug changes a breeze. upgrading the cam is when you'll notice a power difference.
