This crazy Chevrolet Camaro concept seen here sitting at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show bound to turn a few heads. The one-off ZL1-based Camaro, dubbed Turbo Camaro Coupe, has been custom built to represent an upcoming movie, Turbo. Don’t get too excited just yet.
With a name like that I’m sure you expect an action-packed, car racing knock off of Fast and the Furious, but it’s about one thing, a snail who had a dream – to go fast. You read that correctly.
You’re probably thinking, what in the world does this Camaro have to do with a movie that happens to be named Turbo? Well, when you have 700 claimed horsepower under the hood, your dreams of coming fast have come true. And Turbo? That’s the snails name.
While the car is claimed to throw down some power, what is functional here we’re not really sure. What we do know is that it has an automatic transmission and exhaust with 5.0-inch diameter tail pipes on each side.
The other upgrades include a COPO custom hood, 24 x 10-inch wheels on the front and 24 x 15-inch wheels holding down the rear. It features an adjustable suspension for the front and rear.
If you’re still interested, you could take the kiddos to see it. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind, plus you have until July 19th of this year to think about it. As you can see, this Camaro has a customized wide-body kit, custom front splitter and rear diffuser, and a big spoiler.
