Ben's 98z28 build

Been meaning to do this for a while and just never got around to it. I got this 98z when someone hit my 94z that was parked in my dads driveway.
Starting from the beginning:
It's a 98z28 that it bought with 170,xxx miles for $2,500. When i bought it the wipers stayed straight up and the taillights were busted. The car had a magnaflow catback, a manual cut-out and an slp lid.

Since i bought it i've:
-Changed wiper motors twice(1st was defective).
- changed to aftermarket taillights.
-replaced the cracked dash board.
-washed and waxed it(it sat under a tree and was covered in sap).
- changed both belts(due to squeaking).
-put mirror glasd on passenger mirror

Future plans:
-install new fuel pump and regulator(it has extreme drop-off in high rpm's)
-a full rebuild to try and reach 11 sec quarters and still be daily driven.
-paint it a different color.
-put some polished corvette wheels on it(not sure on style yet).
-upgrade the brakes(haven't decided on a brand).
I'm sure i am missing some stuff but i will add more as it comes.

When i first got it

Thanks, I actually got it the same day I got my 02 firebird. Just for fun I texted a guy about 2 hours from my house and asked if he would take $2500 that day instead of the $3300 he had been asking. He said sure and so I hopped in the car and went and picked it up that night.

What mods are you planning to run 11s?

Haven't decided yet it's just my goal. I will be doing a fresh build with cam/heads and intake/exhaust. Of course i will be doing suspension and weight reduction too. I don't need to hit 11's but its a goal. Another goal would be 400-450 horsepower. I want it to still have the ability to be street drive though.

To hit 11s in a full weight car you'll need closer to 500.
But yeah a good set of heads with an aggressive cam, a good tune, and a bit of spray and you'll be in the high 11s

Took out some weight. The ac was already not working so i removed it. Also the windshield washer fluid reservoir came out. I know its not much weight but its a start.

You may want to put that plastic shrouding back in, that helps direct airflow from the air dam to the radiator.

It really opens up the front taking the washer reservoir out though I took mine out during my build because I needed the space but it looks cleaner without it in there.

Yea i ended up putting the lower plastic back but it does look cleaner without the washer tank. Its not really any weight off with the ac its about 25lbs.

Im trying to decide on cam and heads right now. I fixed a problem with fuel pressure bleed off by replacing the filter. Glad it wasnt the pump.
