keanez 1997 Camaro Z28 SS

Hi Everyone,

I finally found a car I can live with for a while that I am not putting up for sale anytime soon. I just bought it today and don't know much about it except it has a V8 and is automatic. It is also has 30th anniversary edition seats and was made in Ontario, Canada. It needs some body work, but that is fine. Here are the first pictures of it. (Keep in mind I had to hurry and take these so they aren't that great.)

Welcome to The Zone !!!

All 4th Gen f-body's (93-02 Camaro & Firebird/Trans Am) were made in Canada.

The V8 is an LT1. The big issue with those is the Optispark. If you ever need to replace it, get an AC Delco (GM Brand) or MSD.

Now if only the State of NJ would open back up I could get it inspected and registered. Until then, it has to sit in my driveway covered.

Thank you for the information about the Optispark and the LT1. I will write that information down for future reference. If you have any other suggestions or advice I would be happy to hear it, as well. I notice people have a long list of all of the parts on their car. I will have to start from here as I have no idea what parts are on it and no clue how to even tell.

Have a Safe and Happy 4th of July!!!

Great looking car! What kind of plans do you have for it, daily driver, race car, show car?

Thank you. It has some issues, but it will be fun fixing it up. I plan to drive it daily, possibly show it after the body work gets done, and maybe one day take it to the drag strip to just see what it can do when I get used to how it drives and make sure it is safe.

Have a Safe and Happy 4th of July.
