I'm using a 'timing tuner' box. It has timing adjustments, min and max rpm and a delay timer

Ran a 13.4 at Royal Purple the other day. Horrible run but it's what I expected for my first time at the track with a stick on street tires. That's versus a 13.75 as an auto on drag radials.

I also retuned it at work last week. Made 314 and 330, and 380 430 on a 100 shot. That's on a mustang dyno. I'm waiting to run with the bottle soon.

Why did it run that much faster wirh a stick and street tires? With the same gearing the auto with drag radials shouldve been much closer to the lower times.

I think it's the stall speed of the converter I had. 2800 wasn't enough

Wow it has been a while. Hope there are some original members still lurking, figured I would update this a little. I just put a new motor together for the firebird. 575/525 whp at Patrick G's dyno in Victoria.

Factory ls7 block, compstar crank, Texas speed I beams, wiseco 4.135 pistons w/upgraded pins.
Factory ls7 heads re-worked by Texas Speed. Titanium intake valves and stainless exhaust. PAC springs and titanium retainers. 248/260 111+3 tsp cam. And a ported fast 102.
2" headers with true 3" exhaust.
McLeod RST twin disk clutch, and a few tubular front end pieces.

Safe to say this is a whole new car now lol. Enjoy some pictures

Sweet ride. Forgot about fbody.org when life got in the way. Seeing all the old post on here and when it was like a family is kind of depressing. The car looks sick tho dude and glad you still have it
