so I did end up buying an optispark off a guy out of maryland, he was actually really cool about it and seemed extremely honest! He had a 97 with a built LTI and he blew the cylinder wall and decided to LS swap it, and to turbo it, so that's why he's getting rid of his LT1 stuff. Like i said, seemed extremely honest so I trust that this will work wonders, and for a practically brand new MSD optispark, for 300 I couldn't resist! Also, just wondering, after buying new plugs and wires, and this optispark, do I need a new igniton coil? or maybe would it be a good idea to replace it while I'm in there? or is it already being replaced with the opti?

found this one: http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/pr...Connector.html

Bump on the previous post... Just a question about whether I should buy a new ignition coil or not... I got plugs, wires, and a new optispark.... So pardon my non existent technical savviness, but do I need a new one? Or is it part of my new optispark? Thanks guys

If its like my 94 z28 its easy to change and is not part of the optispark its actually mounted in front of the drivers side head. It has a spark plug wire coming off of it and that goes to the opti.

It is. You can actually take it off and get it tested at an advanve or wherever you prefer. Just have them test it like 4x's in a row so it heats up. Then you will know if its working right.

got these a few months back, just wondering if they would fit in a 98+ camaro bumper? I just feel like they look way bigger than stock foglights/ and like they won't even fit in the bumper

Have you measured them? To see if they would fit? A little hard to judge size on here. ... LOL (that's what she said)

hahahahahaha, all I know is on the add I believe it says they are 3" sooo I guess I would have to know the size of each fog light opening on the bumper?

Sorry for the double post, can't add pix when editing. Here's a factory 98-02 fog light. I know, doesn't help with size. I could measure my fog Lights, but won't be able to do that til daylight. I am at work, and will be all night . Click image for larger version

alright, eventually I'll get around to writing a full update, but for now I just have a question. My car has fog lights in the bumper, but I don't have a switch for it on the radio bezel.... I ordered a switch off of Ebay, and last time I looked the fogs had wiring running off of them, but it looked like they were tied off instead of fully being wired in... would this be hard to wire them back in, so that i actually have fogs? Also, I'd like to make them HIDS. I know a lot of people swear by DDM tuning, but for some reason their page isn't loading for me? Besides the point though, which bulb should I use on my fogs? 880 or 894? I've heard some swear by each of them... OH! and something to remember, my car IS a 97, but the bumper is from a 98+ so just remember that when talking about the bulb sizes

Fog light for 98-02 is a 894. Wiring them wouldn't be too hard. Just need to figure what colored wire is what, then wire them up with a relay. I could give you the wire colors off the switch, but not til after 5pm CT.... I'm at work right now.

okay, yea i just removed the headlights, and now I have pretty clear access to the turn signals/ fogs etc. Although i noticed, my passenger side fog has a pigtail and light in it, but the driver side has nothing... although there are some wires there that are capped off. From what I found, there are two wires, purple and black. sound about right?

as far as HID conversions I found these
Slim Xenon HID Kit Chevy Fog Light H13 H11 9007 3000K 5000K 6000K 8000K 10000K | eBay and

Xentec Slim Fog Light Xenon HID Kit 880 881 899 6000K Bright Conversion 6K White | eBay
