Cheap and safe mods

I just picked up my 1997 f body it's a V6 3.8l I'm looking for any ideas for junkyard mods. Ie. Throttle body, clutch master cylinder, ac delete, headers, drive shaft, rear disc brake conversion, and what are the best turbos with intercoolers to grab as well.

I have done a stage two clutch, magnaflow exhaust, and cold air intake.

I have very tight budget but want a quick V6 as well. I really like this body style and if I could swap for an lt1 I would, just can't afford a move like that right now.

Thanks in advance.

Hold off on the mods, because the gains will be nominal at best, unless you don't mind dropping some coin in the car. I would save my money for the Lt swap, it will net more power and be more reliable. If you really want more power though, headers will help, a posi rear end with numerically higher gears like 3.73s or 4.10s will help too.

I agree... I'll also add, if you don't have the funds to do a motor swap FI is way out of range.

Like FI is not worth the money or the time? I would love to do a Lt swap. Can't find one for reasonable price in Calgary though.

He was saying, An LT1 swap would be more power in stock configuration and more reliable than a turbo build on a 3.8

And,

Forced Induction (FI) would cost just as much if not more than an LT1 swap. If you can't afford an LT1 swap, then you surely can't afford FI either.

I would just save up and get an lt1 camaro, I got one for cheaper than the swap and now have a daily driver for when I'm moding my lt1 and don't have to rush it back together. You are pretty much at the end of the list when it comes to mods for the 3.8 cars, FI is a custom deal with those and very very expensive. I have a set of ceramic headers and y pipe that I don't think I'll ever end up using if you are interested it's the pacesetter kit. I got the z and have shifted my focus.
