Exclamation Need advice on buying an LT1 94 Z28...

Ok guys, somebody locally to me is selling a 94 Z28 with the LT1 6 speed. Need to know any issues with these cars and problematic signs to look for directly related to them.
Been doing some reading and hearing that the PCV valve, or lack thereof, is an issue as well as the Optispark. Throw all you can out there that you know of that will help a fellow F-body lover on the right track to buying a dependable and reliable car!

Thanks guys!

Ask for a cold start, have a friend be in back checking for color in the exhaust smoke. You should be upfront listening to the motor. Take it for a spin, try to feel any hesitations or stumbling, more thne likely itll be the opti.

how many miles and whats the price? LS1s are on a major decline in price. getting one with less then 100k miles for 6 grand isnt hard to come by anymore.

LT1s are notorious oil leakers.

Actually I have found a 97 Z28 with the LT1 and a 6 spd trans with 91k on her. Head gaskets have been done already. Has a K&N induction kit and an exhaust system already on it. The engine light is on right now. Haven't put the scanner on it yet but looks like it could be from the maf since the k&n was put on it? Will have to grab the code to be sure. Hope its something simple.

Me and the owner are too far apart. The interior is thrashed, stained and just awful. The codes I pulled are P0400 (EGR) and P1441 (Purge Solenoid). Both were also pending. Decided to walk away from it. He wanted $3895 for it and honestly I didn't think it was worth more than $2500. Oh well, the search continues...

If the owner would take 3200 it be a good deal, those codes are a easy fix,

Could be something as simple as a cracked/leaky connection. Which is an easy fix, just not sure if I want to spend the money to replace a complete interior (dashpad, console, headliner, carpets, seat upholstry, rear deck carpet, etc.)

Smart move.
New leather seats alone are $800.00, plus installation.
Dash pad is $250.
