1987 Camaro v6 2.8 automatic transmission leaking question.

The transmission fluid started leaking from my 87 camaro. I think it’s because one day I was driving through a rough road and drove through a pot hole I failed to notice. It sounded like a hard hit.

My question is, how do I add transmission fluid? It’s an automatic transmission but I don’t see any place where I can add the oil. Is it added where the dip stick is? I want to add fluid so that I can see where exactly it’s leaking from.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Is there not a stick on the passenger's side engine bay near the firewall? I think this is a 700R4, or if not a 4l60? In either case there should be a dipstick/fill tube there. On the transmission itself it would be above the front corner, and goes up at an angle from there.

Do you think you dented or bent the pan? If so I would just order a new one and swap them, if you confirm that's where the leak comes from. Be careful! The level has to be just right!
