Code p0420 issues

I have a 98 v6 camaro. I've looked this code up & realize it could very well be the cat. Theres an additive that has really good reviews that say it'll clean a cat so it doesnt havta be replaced.

Its called techron complete fuel system cleaner concentrate.

Do any of you have any experience with this stuff???

Techron is a fuel additive that Chevron includes in their fuel.

Those cleaners are a "Fuel system cleaner"....... not an exhaust or catalytic converter cleaner. There is the CRC Guaranteed to Pass Emissions Cleaner. but, even then it is limited to what it can do..

Did you read the Q & A at the end???

"""""Q: CAN I USE A CATALYTIC CONVERTER CLEANER TO FIX A CLOGGED CATALYTIC CONVERTER?
A: Unfortunately, catalytic converter cleaner is not a mechanic-in-a-bottle and won’t be the end-all, fix-all to your engine troubles. If your catalytic converter is truly clogged the only way to fix the problem is to replace the converter.""""

Once a Cat is clogged, it's clogged. The only thing that can fix that is replacement.
The cleaners are to be used before the fact, not after.

Techron by Chevron is a "Fuel System Cleaner" ..... only claiming to clean the fuel system...... including the injectors, carburetors, intake valves, and combustion chambers.
