replacing rear sail panel speakers on 99 bird. need wiring help!

I just recently purchased pioneer 6.5" 4 ohm a series 220 whatt max speakers at bestbuy. When i went to install the speakers i realized that my old speakers have 4 wires coming out of them and the new speakers only have 2 little tabs for a + and - wire. I have a sony xplod head unit installed but other then that everything else is bone stock. Im not too familiar at all with wiring so if somebody could help me out a little bit and tell me what i need to do that would be great.

Thanks

I have the stock Monsoon unit, but Sony sail speakers. What i did is tie the two + and - together to make one of each. SO far i haven't had any problems, and it works fine

NOOOOOO!

The stock speakers have two + and two - wires. Aftermarket speakers only have one of each. What i did was put both +'s together along with the two -'s together to make 2 wires total, one + and -, to hook up to the new speakers. I just used those little clips that you put the wires in and crimp the back end, then slide it on the speakers tabs.
